Quality tea, slower delivery

I ordered the Japanese Sencha and a Glass Teapot. The tea itself is excellent, very fresh and flavorful, you can tell it's good quality. The teapot is nice too. Shipping took a bit longer than I expected, around 6 business days to get to me in California. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the tracking. Would definitely buy again for the tea, just wish delivery was a bit faster.

Consistent quality, reliable service

I've bought from Tea Rebellion several times now. This time I got the Nepalese Tea and a Tea Sampler. Just like before, the tea was high quality and tasted amazing. Shipping was as expected, took 4 days. It's good to know I can always count on them for fresh, direct trade tea. They're my go-to for loose leaf.

Great value on first order

This was my first time buying from Tea Rebellion. I used a first-order discount code which made the Earl Grey and a Tea Infuser really affordable. Shipping was free because my order was over $50. Felt like I got a good deal overall, definitely worth trying.

Detailed thoughts on my order

I decided to try Tea Rebellion after reading about their direct trade practices. I placed an order for the Taiwanese Oolong, a pack of Biodegradable Tea Bags, and a Tea Gift Set for a friend. The ordering process on the website was very straightforward, easy to navigate. Shipping updates were regular, and my package arrived in good condition, within 5 days to my address in Michigan. The Taiwanese Oolong has a wonderful complex flavor profile, very smooth. The tea bags seem sturdy and work well. The gift set looked very professional and my friend loved it. I contacted support with a question about brewing temperature, and they replied within a few hours with helpful advice. Overall, a very positive experience from start to finish. Good quality, good service.

hey, trying to figure out if i can use two discount codes on one order, like a first-time buyer one and a free shipping code? or is it just one?

T Troy Foster 2 months ago
nah, pretty sure it's just one code per order. tried to do something similar last month and it only let me apply one.

D Dana Romero 2 months ago
yeah, most places only let you use one. you'd probably have to pick which discount saves you more or if you hit the free shipping threshold anyway.

do they do free shipping always, or is it only over a certain amount?

F Faith Lindqvist 1 month ago
pretty sure it's free shipping if you spend over 50 bucks. I usually just add a bit more to my cart to hit that.

It's over $50, yep. Otherwise, there's a small shipping fee. I've heard they sometimes have codes for free shipping on any order, but that's rarer.

what's their return policy like? bought a few things recently from another company and they made returns a nightmare.

D David 2 months ago
returns were pretty straightforward for me when I got the wrong tea once. just contact them and they'll sort it.

i think you have a certain amount of time, like 30 days maybe? and it needs to be unopened. but yeah, from what I remember, they're pretty reasonable if there's an issue.

compared to Vahdam or T2, how's the quality of Tea Rebellion? like, is it worth the price difference if there is one?

E Elena 1 month ago
i'd say it's way better than T2 for actual tea quality, T2 feels more about the experience. Vahdam is good but Tea Rebellion feels more focused on single origin stuff.

definitely different. Tea Rebellion focuses a lot on direct sourcing and unique single origin stuff, which often means higher quality leaves than the blends you find elsewhere. worth it if you're into that.

how long does it usually take for an order to get to, say, Seattle? trying to get some for a friend's birthday next week.

N Neil Osei 2 months ago
i'm in Portland and it usually takes about 4-5 business days for me. Seattle's probably similar.

S Sam 2 months ago
mine got to Phoenix in like a week, but that was standard shipping. if it's urgent, maybe check if they have an expedited option.

is their 'fair trade' thing legit? i've seen some brands just say that but it's kinda bogus when you look into it.

C Colin 2 months ago
i think they actually source directly from the farmers, so it's not just a label. seemed pretty transparent on their site when I looked.

N Nick 2 months ago
Yeah, they talk a lot about direct trade and helping the small farms. Doesn't feel like greenwashing to me, they seem to really back it up.
